Stine Seed Company sponsors Farm Rescue, a program to support hurting farmers in Iowa
Adel , IA - July 25, 2012
Many farms are devastated each year by the loss of a loved one, major injuries and illness or affected by natural disaster. There is now hope for Iowans to alleviate the burden those circumstances often bring in their wake. Stine Seed Company is partnering with a nonprofit organization to reach out and support these small to medium-sized farms who suffer. Farm Rescue is a collaborative effort to plant and harvest crops for families in need across the Midwest. That helping hand is available to farming families in Iowa, now the fifth state to offer this program.
“Agriculture and farming play a large role in Iowa’s economy,” said David Thompson, national sales and marketing director at Stine Seed Company. “We’re happy to step up and support Farm Rescue because it offers support to this vital piece of our economy.”
Volunteer labor, sponsored farm equipment and many business partners make this neighbor-to-neighbor assistance effective so families can lean on the support during hard times. Businesses and individuals across Iowa participate in this program, and Stine Seed Company is proud to partner in this effort to support our state’s hurting families.
