An evening celebrating women who grow, lead and inspire

April 2025

On March 27, Stine® Seed Company celebrated Women in Agriculture Day in Iowa. This is the sixth consecutive year Stine has secured a statewide proclamation designating a day in March to celebrate the many women who grow, lead and inspire in the industry. The company also hosted its fourth annual Women in Ag Day Reception that evening at the Stine Barn in West Des Moines — an event that welcomed more than 100 individuals from all walks of the agriculture industry.

At the reception, attendees heard from two special guests: Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig, who has dedicated his career to ensuring the strength of Iowa’s agricultural economy, and Jessica Laux, an agricultural advocate and mother to one of the industry’s most popular ag influencers, Just a Jackson Thing.

Secretary Naig discussed the lasting impact that women have made and continue to make on Iowa agriculture and their position in shaping the future of agriculture today and in the future. Laux highlighted her role as an ag advocate and mother and how she’s navigated farm life while supporting Jackson’s rise to fame and busy life as an ag influencer. Ann Clinton, Stine’s communication director, served as the emcee for the evening’s festivities.

“Tonight, we celebrate the remarkable women who make an impact in agriculture — those who lead, innovate and inspire.”

Also in attendance were members of the Stine family — Myron (company president), Brenda (corporate counsel) and Lucinda (soybean pollination and procurement).

“On behalf of those of us here tonight representing Stine Seed Company, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Stine family for this event. Thank you for not only building an incredible company but for fostering a culture where so many of us have the opportunity to grow, contribute and make an impact.”

Stine appreciates everyone who attended its 2025 Women in Ag Day Reception and all the women who serve important roles at home, in the field or in the office to support and advance the best industry in the world.
