Big News! Enlist E3 Soybeans Receive Import Approvals, Ready for Full Launch in U.S.

February 2019

The latest soybean trait platform received the green light for full launch in the U.S. this week. Enlist E3 soybeans are approved for cultivation in the U.S., Canada and Brazil and have received import authorization in importing countries, including China and the Philippines. Stine is excited to offer an extensive lineup of Enlist E3 soybeans this growing season.

“Stine® Enlist E3 soybeans offer an advanced herbicide-tolerant technology that will bring growers high yields and exceptional performance,” says Myron Stine, president of Stine Seed Company. “The commercial launch of this trait marks a positive step forward for the soybean industry and growers who have struggled to find a good alternative mode of action for weed control.”

Developed by MS Technologies™ and Corteva Agriscience, the agriculture division of DowDuPont, the Enlist E3 soybean system will benefit growers by providing maximum flexibility and convenience, along with the ability to use multiple modes of action for exceptional weed control. In fact, Enlist E3 boasts the industry’s first molecular three-way stack soybean trait on the market. The trait confers tolerance to a new 2,4-D choline chemistry, glyphosate and glufosinate, to help growers tackle hard-to-control weeds throughout the season and in a wide range of situations. Essentially, the system offers high yielding genetics with enhanced weed management flexibility, which is a game changer when it comes to soybeans.

“The industry has been waiting for a solution like this for a long time,” notes David Thompson, Stine’s national marketing and sales director. “The good news is Stine has a good supply of Enlist E3 soybeans, in maturity range 0 through group four, that growers can choose from to plant this spring.”

Growers can plant Enlist E3 soybeans with confidence, knowing that they will benefit from the industry’s newest and most advanced herbicide trait platform that is now fully approved for commercial launch.
