Last week, some of Stine® Seed Company’s agronomy team shared their top picks for the 2025 planting season. In this week’s article, we hear from the rest of the agronomists on the products that have displayed strong performance and top-end yield this year.
From the upper Midwest to the eastern Corn Belt, see what rose to the top in our Product Development Plot (PDP) program and elsewhere.
Faith Hedrick, field agronomist for Illinois
Corn
- Stine 9214-20: This topped my Ellsworth, Wisconsin, PDP plot, yielding 174.9 bu/acre and 112.25% of test. 9214-20 was a standout all season, from strong emergence in overly saturated conditions to nice plant health, strong roots followed by impressive ears.
- Stine 9445-20: This line yielded 237.4 bu/acre with an outstanding 62.3-pound test weight at my Monroe, Wisconsin, PDP plot. 9445-20 has caught the eye of many all season long with its showy, healthy plant structure, its defensiveness against diseases, and its impressive ear fill and size with minimal to no tip back.
- Stine 9755-20: Yielding 234.7 bu/acre and 102% of test at my Chenoa, Illinois, PDP, this line has been a standout for not only me but also many others on the agronomy team and companywide. It has either topped or has been consistently within the top five products of our PDPs, minus a few plots. 9755-20 displayed high, top-end yield paired with some great agronomics, such as good uniformity, great ear flex, and consistencies across a variety of row spacings and populations. This is one of people’s favorites.

- Stine 11EH06: 11EH06 came in second at my Wautoma, Wisconsin, PDP out of 39 products, yielding 60.9 bu/acre and 117.45% of test. It also yielded 59.7 bu/acre and 102.47% of test at another location in Plum City, Wisconsin. While not a tall, showy bean, it definitely packs a punch for its size. It pods heavy and keeps a good, consistent seed size coupled with reliable season-long plant health from emergence.
- Stine 13EH62: 13EH62 topped the Wautoma, Wisconsin, PDP, yielding 61.8 bu/acre and 119% of test. It had good early-season vigor in wet conditions and was a semi-branchy, showy plant that set pods nicely.
- Stine 30EH32 and 30EH23: Between the two, they topped both the Chenoa and Utica, Illinois, PDPs. Coming in at 73 and 72 bu/acre in Chenoa, and 83.9 and 84.8 bu/acre in Utica. From emergence to harvest, both impressed many with their season-long vigor; impressive, showy plant health; and high-end yield potential.

- Stine 13EG23: 13EG23 is outperforming the other products in the Stine testing program and the cooperator tests. I call 13EG32 a distinct Stine soybean because not only is it a top yielder in its class; but the distinctness of 13EG23 is that 13EG23 has mixed hilum and flower color. Other companies in the industry will not touch a product if it is not aesthetically pleasing. Here at Stine, if it yields and has purity, we put it in growers’ fields, and it performs exactly how you would expect. 13EG23 is a branching, beautiful soybean plant that yields better than any other product in the region. It is proving this again this year at 111% trend.
- Stine 38EG32: Many people are becoming worried about what to replace 36EE12 with. A very solid option would be putting 38EG32 on your farm. 38EG32 has the same characteristics and traits but tends to mature a little earlier than a 38. It is the best performer across the highly productive, poorer/poorly drained soils around the country. 38EG32 is proving itself while performing 111% trend in our Elite Yield Trials, up 5% from 2023. Get in contact with your ISR on this bean for sure!
- Stine 43EG29: 43EG29 is a callout because it has been a very difficult year for this maturity region with the amount of rain in the early season and very dry weather late in the year. 43EG29 remained at the top of its class within the RM4 region. 43EG29 performed at 108%, up 3% from last year, showing how versatile this soybean is within the rough soils in the South and how good this brand is with wet feet.
- Stine 55EG20(Pictured below: five leaflets ): 55EG20 is still performing well in its class across the South. Commonly, as you stack traits, you lose yield, but this line is proving the industry wrong once again. Last year, 55EG20 performed at 103.5% trend. This year, it is breaking the glass ceiling again at 112.5%.

Corn
- Stine 9754-20: This line has good emergence, so you can plant it early. It features very good plant health all growing season and good deep vertical penetrating roots. Also, it has lateral root mass, which helps for late-season standability. 9754-20 yielded at the top of most all my PDP plots and did very well in growers’ fields. It had very good grain quality and test weight.
- Stine 9662-20: This new line has done very well as it moves west into my region of western Iowa and Nebraska. It does well in lighter soils where populations are average because of its good ear flex. At harvest, it dries down fast for ease of combining, with good test weight and grain quality.
- Stine MX709-20: This is an older line, but it had a very good year, especially in areas where we like variable populations and have different row spacing environments. It moves north very well for a 110-maturity plant that flowers earlier than similar competitors. It’s one of our shorter-stature Stine genetics that other companies are wanting to now copy.
Soybeans
- Stine 17EE32: This is a very good emerging line with nice height. It produced top-end yields in 2023 and 2024. 17EE32 has had amazing consistency and yields reported by our growers. It also has a large north-to-south maturity zone you can plant it in.
- Stine 30EH32: This line did well across the country and was at the top of all our PDP plots. It was above average on all diseases and yielded in all soil types. 30EH23 is a similar line that’s just a bit shorter.
- Stine 28EH32: I like how this line moved west into Nebraska and South Dakota, so it worked on lighter soils. It’s a consistent new offering in our lineup.
Ben Shepherd, field agronomist for South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin
Corn
- Stine 9320-20: This line has had an outstanding year, from its full-season plant health to yields in some areas into the 240-bushel range. It has been at the top of the PDP plots for me this year, and every grower I have talked to has had nothing but great things to say about it.
- Stine 9105-10: This is new for us in the 83–85-day range, and the performance it has shown in the PDP plots this year has been outstanding. It consistently has test weights of 60 pounds or greater, yielding along with the 90-day maturity hybrids and with great standability. I’m really excited to see this in growers’ fields next season.
Soybeans
- Stine 13EH62: This looks to be a full-package bean. It has handled iron deficiency chlorosis fantastically in my area this year and has had great top-end yields.
- Stine 10EG20: If you want a soybean you can put anywhere, this would be it. It has good IDC tolerance, as well as great white mold protection and top-end yield. I can’t say enough positive things about 10EG20.
Bill Kessinger, technical agronomist for the eastern Corn Belt
Corn
- Stine 9755-20: This 111-day maturity line is possibly one of the most versatile high-yielding options I have ever seen. It is a mid-tall plant, averaging 111 inches in height with a fibrous root mass. 9755-20 also has an ear that drops downward with a loose husk for exceptional dry down and ear mold resistance. We placed this line in both the full-season and mid-full season PDPs. It came in at the top of both across all geographies. It is averaging 105% of test, with a 59.4-pound test weight in the full-season test and 103% of test with a 59.7-pound test weight in the mid-full season test.
- Stine 9320-20: This is a 91-day line that’s having an exceptional year. 9320-20 has been in production for a couple years, and growers are reporting exceptional yields. The PDP plots are showing it as well. 9320-20 is yielding 103.6% of test with a 58.7-pound test weight. This mid-tall product at 110” plant height has shown excellent standability and great tar spot resistance. For growers farther south looking for an earlier hybrid, 9320-20 has proven to move south well for a 91-day line.
Soybeans
- Stine 30EH32: This is an outstanding 3.0 maturity soybean. The first two plots harvested yielded over 100 bushels in south-central Indiana and just under 100 bushels in eastern Illinois. Then, it continued to be dominant throughout the rest of the plots, averaging 105.3% of test. 30EH32 is quick out of the ground and branches well vertically but is not overly tall, so it works on high-yielding soils and has a darker, showy eye appeal.
- Stine 34EH22: This 3.4 maturity line had a solid 102.3% of test yield from our PDP plots. It gets out of the ground well and branches outward to fill the row quickly but is an overall shorter product. 34EH22 is not a showy plant like 30EH32. It has the best standability score in that set, along with a good sudden death syndrome score. It has the Peking cyst platform to help manage cysts in high-pressure environments. 34EH22 has the yield punch for heavier soils and the defense package for sandy, lighter soils. It’s a truly versatile line.
- Stine 39EH23: This 3.9 maturity line works across multiple systems. It came in first in both our full-season and double-crop plot in Kentucky, yielding at 111% in both locations. It’s not as fast out of the ground as other products. It has a medium-tall plant type that branches well without getting overly growthy, and it pods heavy in the middle portion of the plant with exceptional pod clusters. 39EH23 also has good standability and SDS scores.
- Stine 41EH02: This is a 4.1 maturity line with exceptional emergence for early planting and tougher soils. It’s a mid-height plant that does not branch as much as other Enlist E3® products but has the height to work in rolling soils if needed, along with the best standability score in that plot set in PDP trials. 41EH02 has good plant health late into the season, and it had the highest yield percentage of test with 105.7% in PDP trials. It’s a versatile line that can move and work in multiple farming practices.
