Rooted in family

February 2026

For decades, Stine® Seed Company has built our business on long-term relationships with farmers and a steadfast commitment to their success. That focus shapes everything from research and product development to how we support our grower customers each season. At the heart of that commitment is a set of family values that guide how we do business every day.

Rooted in family

Family values are central at Stine, forming a core pillar of our company’s foundation. As an independent, family-owned business, we have the freedom to operate without corporate constraints, allowing us to make timely, practical decisions that benefit growers.

“The strength of the Stine legacy comes down to understanding the farmer,” says Myron. “When a grower is part of Stine, we can partner to make better and stronger decisions together. These relationships guide every business transaction and product delivered.”

At Stine, that legacy is carried not only by the Stine family but also by employees, stakeholders and growers who place their trust in our business year after year — just as our founder, Harry, intended.

Carrying on the family legacy

As the founder of Stine, Harry built the company with a simple principle: always put the farmer first. He has remained an active grower over the years and always puts on his “farmer hat” when making important decisions.

“Any decision we make, whether it’s about genetics or innovation, we do so with the farmer in mind. That’s how my father built this business, and it’s what we continue to follow today.”

Harry’s vision carries on through his four children — Myron, Warren, Brenda and Lucinda — who each started working in the company at an early age.

Myron is now leading the business into the future, but he has worn many hats within Stine. He began as a farm worker and progressed through the ranks, serving as a district sales manager, regional sales manager, sales director, vice president of sales and marketing, and now president.

Myron’s siblings also hold key leadership roles in the family business.

As the assistant director of corn research, Warren helps lead Stine’s corn breeding and development programs, ensuring hybrids entering the retail corn portfolio are carefully vetted to deliver strong results for farmers.

Brenda serves as corporate counsel for Stine, overseeing the company’s legal efforts, including product licensing and acquisitions.

Lucinda supports Stine’s soybean breeding program, focusing on pollination and procurement. She’s been involved on the soybean side since she was 14.

Several of Harry’s grandchildren also work on the farm, helping sustain the company’s multigenerational foundation.

Stine’s family legacy spans decades and shows no signs of slowing down. From the founding of the Stine Seed Farm in the 1950s to the launch of the retail brand in 1979 to our current position as one of the industry’s largest independent seed companies, family values have guided key decisions at every stage of growth. That foundation enables future generations of grower customers to fulfill their own family legacies with Stine genetics as a trusted part of their operations.
