Soybean seed treatments may be worth additional consideration for growers this year, especially those who struggled with cool, wet weather last fall and early this spring. Seed treatments offer growers extra protection from diseases and pests that are amplified when environmental stressors persist. Stine offers its own line of treatments — Stine® XP Seed Treatments — that help growers protect their seed during its most vulnerable stage, right after planting and through early emergence. Stine XP soybean seed treatments encourage good early vigor and help ward off the early onset of insects, such as bean leaf beetles and thrips, and diseases, such as phytophthora root rot and sudden death syndrome, all of which can be detrimental to yields and a grower’s bottom line.
Stine XP soybean seed treatments provide the first critical line of defense to keep pests and diseases at bay. Stine XP soybean seed treatments are available in four custom-blend formulations for ultimate seed protection, including Stine XP Complete, Stine XP-F&I, Stine XP-F&I with BIOst® Nematicide and Stine XP-F.
Stine XP Complete is a combination fungicide and insecticide that includes Heads Up® plant protectant. Stine XP Complete is backed with Thiabendazole 4L ST for enhanced fusarium activity and Azoxystrobin 100 ST for white mold suppression. This particular treatment also offers excellent control of sudden death syndrome, pythium, rhizoctonia solani, seed-borne phomopsis and sclerotinia. The insecticide component of Stine XP Complete provides protection against wireworms, seedcorn maggots, bean leaf beetles and thrips.
Stine XP-F&I is a combination fungicide and insecticide package. The custom blend offers protection against rhizoctonia solani, fusarium, seed-borne phomopsis and sclerotinia, and helps combat insects such as wireworms, seedcorn maggots, bean leaf beetles and thrips.
Stine XP F&I with BIOst® Nematicide is a combination fungicide and insecticide package with an innovative broad-spectrum seed treatment nematicide for soybeans experiencing heavy nematode pressure. This custom-blend treatment kills nematodes within 24 to 48 hours, with activity on eggs and juveniles of the most important nematodes in soybeans, including soybean cyst, root-knot and reniform nematodes. This formulation also offers great protection against rhizoctania solani, fusarium, seed-borne phomopsis and sclerotinia, as well as safeguarding against insects such as wireworms, seedcorn maggots, bean leaf beetles and thrips.
Stine XP-F is our fungicide-only blend that provides protection against diseases such as pythium, phytophthora, rhizoctonia solani, fusarium, seed-borne phomopsis and sclerotinia.
