Stine Celebrates Women in Ag, Recognizes Their Accomplishments with Women in Agriculture Day

March 2020

Stine is fortunate to enjoy leadership and support from female professionals who strive to keep our company efficient, innovative and successful. From their roles in our research and sales departments to seed conditioners and growers in the field, we’re proud to stand beside women in agriculture as they support the industry that feeds the world.

Although we celebrate women in agriculture every day, over the years, Stine has found March to be a perfect time to bring awareness to their accomplishments. Why March? March is at the crossroad of Women’s History Month and National Ag Week (March 22–28). This year, however, we wanted to do something bigger and more significant to recognize these individuals.

If you’ve followed us on social media lately, you’ve likely noticed our Stine Women in Ag campaign, where we highlight different Stine employees each week, their roles with the company and how they became a woman in ag. If you haven’t seen the videos yet, we encourage you to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram to view those already posted and to watch for upcoming stories throughout the rest of March. You can also see some of the videos at the links below. We also encourage you to share your own women in ag stories using #TogetHER4Ag.

The culmination of our Women in Ag celebration is an exciting one! Stine, in partnership with the Iowa FFA Foundation, the Iowa 4-H Program and FarmHer, is pleased to announce March 26, 2020, as Women in Agriculture Day in Iowa. A formal proclamation establishing the inaugural day-long celebration was signed by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds thanks to an effort spearheaded by Stine and those partner organizations in collaboration with the governor’s office. We thank all involved for their support in recognizing the many women who lead and support the ag industry.

Join us as we celebrate Women in Agriculture Day in Iowa (and around the country) on March 26. From the Heartland to the Mid-South to the East Coast and beyond, we’re proud to work with so many talented and driven individuals. The industry wouldn’t be where it is today without these wonderful women in ag!
