New to our soybean lineup in 2017, Stine® 27RI02 brand soybeans have already proven to be an outstanding variety for growers in certain regions of the Corn Belt. Recently, Stine ISR Ryan Schneider took a ride through a Stine 27RI02 brand soybean field with Stine dealer Ryan Frank. Impressive yield numbers came across the monitor, ranging from 81 all the way to 104 dry bushels per acre. Although the field had a couple of sandy portions, which brought the average down a bit, the whole field average was a respectable 70 bushels per acre.
Outstanding yield performance isn’t the only thing that drove growers to choose this variety. Stine 27RI02 brand soybeans also boast an excellent disease package, with very good resistance to Phytophthora Root Rot, brown stem rot, stem canker, iron deficiency chlorosis and sudden death syndrome, to name a few. This 2.7-maturity variety has a medium plant height with very good emergence and standability. And Stine 27RI02 yielded an outstanding 104.4 percent of trial average in Stine’s Elite Yield Trials.
