Stine’s unique corn genetics combined with the industry’s most desirable trait packages results in hybrids with superior performance. And that’s something we’re hearing from growers who planted Stine® Agrisure® brand corn this year. Stine Agrisure corn is producing healthy stalks and strong ears, even in areas that are experiencing drought-like conditions during late summer. To name a few, Stine 9814–20, 9434-11 and R9739E-32 are packing grain and showing great tolerance to stressful conditions.
Stine 9814-20 Brand Corn
Stine 9814-20 brand corn is a 117–119-day relative maturity hybrid featuring Agrisure Viptera® 3110 and LibertyLink® technology. As a hybrid in the Agrisure Viptera 3110 family, Stine 9814-20 offers best-in-class above-ground insect control, providing season-long protection from insects such as the European corn borer, southwestern corn borer, southwestern cornstalk borer, corn earworm, fall armyworm, dingy cutworm, beet armyworm, black cutworm, western bean cutworm, sugarcane borer and common stalk borer. With the LibertyLink trait, Stine 9814-20 boasts herbicide flexibility with tolerance to both glyphosate and glufosinate.
Stine 9814-20 has excellent late-season plant health and grain quality, and is a great choice for growers planting in lower populations. The product works well in variable soil types and is great for silage as it produces taller plants.
Stine 9434-11 Brand Corn
Stine 9434-11 brand corn is a 98–100-day relative maturity hybrid featuring Agrisure 3000GT technology. With the Agrisure 3000GT technology, Stine 9434-11 provides excellent above and below-ground insect protection, especially against corn borer and corn rootworm, and even when rootworm is not present. In fact, in field trials, Agrisure 3000GT corn delivered 24 to 38 bushels/acre more yield under heavy rootworm pressure and, on average, 3 bushels/acre more where rootworm pressure was low or absent.
Stine 9434-11 produces a medium plant that adapts well to any row configuration. It boasts glyphosate tolerance and is an excellent choice for higher populations and variable soil types.
Stine R9739E-32 Blend Brand Corn
Stine R9739E-32 blend brand corn is a 112–114-day relative maturity hybrid that carries the Agrisure Duracade® 5222 E-Z Refuge® trait. With this trait, the hybrid has a dual mode-of-action, with above- and below-ground insect protection. Essentially, it’s an all-in-one system for corn pest management, with strong corn rootworm control. With the Agrisure Duracade trait, the product expresses a protein that binds differently to the gut of corn rootworm than other corn rootworm traits, providing superior control against the pest while allowing the plant to develop a stronger root system.
Stine R9739E-32 blend brand corn has proven to be a very good top-end yielder. It performs best on loam type soils and responds to late-season nitrogen and sulfur. However, this hybrid is only tolerant to glyphosate, so it’s important to not spray this product with glufosinate.
We’re fortunate to have a number of different Agrisure trait options for growers again in 2021. In fact, we’re pleased to offer 43 Agrisure hybrids for the next planting season, including:
