Three Reasons to Find Stine at a Trade Show Near You

January 2019

Winter trade show season is upon us! The Iowa Power Farming Show is underway this week in Des Moines, and we’ve got a lot of great information to share with growers. The Iowa Power Farming Show is the third largest indoor ag show in the United States, spanning more than seven acres with over 1,932 booths and 750 companies exhibiting at the event. You can find Stine at booth #1044 on the main level of the Community Choice Convention Center, right next to the escalator. We’re excited to hear from growers at the show about their 2019 planting plans and how Stine can fit into their operations. Here are the top three topics we look forward to discussing at trade shows this winter.

  1. Movement on the Enlist E3 This week, MS Technologies — one of the developers of the Enlist E3 soybean trait — announced plans for full-scale launch of the product. The company notes, “Once all regulatory approvals have been received, Enlist E3 soybeans will be offered in the United States and in Brazil and Canada. Growers can expect commercial sales of the soybeans to begin in 2019, with a much broader, full-scale launch in 2020.” Enlist E3 soybeans offer growers an advanced herbicide-tolerant trait technology with maximum flexibility and convenience, along with the ability to use three unique modes of action for exceptional weed control. We have 37 Stine® Enlist E3 soybean options for growers in 2019, ranging from an 0.0/0.1 maturity to a 5.0. The trait is still awaiting import approval from the Philippines.
  2. LibertyLink® GT27 platform ready to be put to the test. Seed sales have skyrocketed for Stine LibertyLink GT27 brand soybeans this year. LibertyLink GT27 soybeans are the first commercially available soybean trait package that offers growers built-in tolerance to glyphosate, glufosinate and a new HPPD/Group 27 herbicide for soybeans, exhibiting powerful performance over tough weeds. Stine is pleased to offer growers the industry’s broadest lineup of LibertyLink GT27 brand soybeans in 2019, with 44 options ranging from an 0.3 maturity to a 4.4. We look forward to seeing these soybeans in the field this year and hearing success stories throughout our sales territories.
  3. Seed production partners wanted. With powerful new soybean traits like Enlist E3 and LibertyLink GT27 entering the market, we need more seed production acres to accommodate increased demand for the soybean technologies. Growers who would like to get involved as a Stine seed production partner can benefit from having priority access to the newest, highest-yielding soybean genetics as they become available, and, in some cases, numbers that are not yet commercially available or are otherwise sold out. Stine seed production partners also receive agronomic support from our reputable team of agronomists and sales experts to help implement best management practices that enhance the performance of the new trait technologies.
