Stine Seed Company to Market Enlist E3® Expance™ Soybean Trait Technology Announced at Commodity Classic 2026
February 25, 2026New trait technology will provide farmers with tolerance to more active ingredients than any soybean trait stack in the industry
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — Adel, Iowa (Feb. 25, 2026) — Stine Seed Company announced details regarding its plans to market Enlist E3® Expance™ soybeans following the introduction of the next-generation herbicide-tolerant soybean trait stack at the 2026 Commodity Classic. Anticipated for commercial availability in 2029 pending regulatory approvals, Enlist E3 Expance soybeans will offer farmers top-end yield potential paired with expanded tolerance to a broad range of trusted herbicide chemistries for more flexibility in early-season weed control.
Enlist E3 Expance soybeans will feature:
- Tolerance to more active ingredients than any other soybean trait stack on the market, including tolerance to glyphosate, glufosinate, 2,4-D choline and multiple HPPD inhibitor chemistries
- Industry-leading preemergence HPPD inhibitor tolerance, including tolerance to mesotrione, bicyclopyrone and isoxaflutole chemistries
- Elite genetics accelerated through decades of advanced soybean breeding
Through wider herbicide tolerance, the technology allows for expanded weed control options in soybeans while maintaining whole-farm flexibility without added system complexity.
Stine Seed Company plans to integrate Enlist E3 Expance soybean trait technology into its high-performing soybean product portfolio to deliver yield stability and herbicide flexibility for farmers across diverse growing environments.
“Farmers need more flexibility in increasingly unpredictable planting seasons,” said Myron Stine, President, Stine Seed Company. “With the added herbicide tolerance in Enlist E3 Expance soybeans, farmers can adapt more quickly to weed control challenges by expanding their herbicide strategies to include proven chemistries already widely used in corn, without sacrificing control or performance.”
Enlist E3 Expance soybeans were first announced in August 2025, with today’s introduction reinforcing the role this next-generation trait technology is expected to play in providing expanded weed management flexibility paired with strong agronomic performance.
Upon regulatory approval, Stine Seed Company plans to release commercial varieties featuring Enlist E3 Expance soybean trait technology through its distribution network as part of its continued commitment to bringing advanced soybean solutions to market.
